Training and Experience
–
First-hand training and experience began in 1991, primarily working
in the field assembling, installing, and sometimes customizing the
various furnishings found throughout Libraries and Media Centers.
Early in 1992, our present Project Management process specific to
the library field began to take shape towards its modern and
ever-evolving state. Regular meetings and factory training sessions
with the industry's most influential figures allows exclusive
insight into the principal factors that provide the foundation for
today's library furnishings industry. We are deeply rooted in the
history of library furniture and shelving, and progressive enough to
remain current with the constant technological advances with which
every Library and Media Center must contend.

Exposure
–
We have experience furnishing virtually every type of Library and
Media Center including; Public Libraries and Community Centers,
College and University Libraries and Media Centers, High School and
Middle School Libraries and Media Centers, Elementary School
Libraries, Private School Libraries, Special Libraries, Law
Libraries, Medical Libraries, Corporate and Research Libraries,
Private Libraries and Federal Institutions. We have worked with
Library Directors and their staffs, Academic Librarians and their
staffs, School Librarians and Faculty, Library Boards, Furniture
Committees, Library Consultants, Architects, Engineers, Project
Managers, Interior Designers, Facility Managers/Planners, Purchasing
Agents, and Contractors.

Virtually every phase of the Project Management process is an
internal function within Academic Furnishings. From early planning
to CAD drawings and designs, from product and specification
development all the way through delivery, installation and closeout,
we have the capabilities and resources. We are positioned to share
